Hurricane Sunset in Texas
The sunset in this painting was inspired by the spectacular sunset we had in Houston when Hurricane Dolly hit South Texas.
The painting was completed under candlelight the day after Hurricane Ike hit Houston and knocked out power for two weeks.
Hurricane sunsets are some of the most beautiful and colorful sunsets I have ever seen, and we had several in 2008.
The home is modeled after a home in Paris, Texas.
Original was painted in 2008. It is acrylic and 16 by 20 inches. It is the second painting in the DeLorean series.
